Matthew is a hair designer and the owner of Parlor 424. To him the hair salon is a sacred place to help nurture a positive self-esteem, beauty, and wellness. His professional education and training is quite extensive. He has had the opportunity to mentor under or observe industry leaders such as Horst Rechelbacher, Oscar Bond, Kurt Kueffner, Ruth Roche, Frédéric Fekkai, Sam Brocato, Robert Cromeans, and Bennie Pollard to name a few.
Starting backstage in '94, Matthew has worked as an educator for various hair care manufacturers (AVEDA, American Crew, mop, Alterna, and Benniefactor) providing hands-on workshops, platform work, and in-salon support. He is committed to his continuing education and attends regular conferences, classes, and seminars featuring the latest in fashion and Davines technology to guarantee his guests at Parlor 424 the industries most innovative services.
Heather Turner
Native to Columbus Indiana, Heather Turner developed a real passion for hair and fashion during her high school years. Heather brings a creative pulse to Parlor 424. In 2005 she made her way to Louisville, Kentucky, where she dove head first into the science of hair color and the rituals of AVEDA. That opportunity proved an invaluable success in furthering her advanced hair color techniques and salon industry professionalism..
Finding Parlor 424 to be in alignment with her high ideals and standards, Heather joined the team with much excitement. As she keeps abreast of ever changing trends and techniques through continuing education, her salon guests reap the benefits of the most up to date trends, Davines products and services. Specializing in color, foil placement, as well as corrective color, Heather has a flair for beauty and each of her masterpieces are designed for the modern lifestyle.
On a personal note, Heather is a mother to twin boys, a pot belly pig, and a pug. She can be found making tinctures and teas while studying holistic healing. She is social and sweet. You can say she is real, full of life, and we are proud she found her salon home at Parlor 424.

For Heather Nifong, Parlor 424 is a happy place! She has a professional yet personable approach that leaves her salon guests feeling important and pampered. A graduate of Empire Beauty School, she has furthered her education with multiple advanced hair cutting, highlighting and color placement classes.

Foremost, Heather is proudest to be the mother of her wonderful daughter Hailee. Beyond that, she fills her days with painting, target shooting, and sunshine.
